Yogurt and Oat Protein Bars

I made these yogurt and oat protein bars a few times now and it has become my new favourite. They taste great, have mild texture, and they are extremely filling. Have two pieces for a quick and easy breakfast, or one with a cup of tea in the afternoon for a healthy snack

The best thing about this recipe is how you can make great snacks using just a few ingredients.

Ingredients

Rolled oats

Rolled oats or simply oats are the main ingredient which are primarily composed of complex carbohydrates. They make these protein bars provide a steady release of energy, making them an excellent source of fuel for workouts and helping to sustain energy levels throughout the day.

Yogurt

Get the full cream Greek yogurt as it makes the bars soft and tasty. Yogurt gives the inspiring and calming kind of flavour to these oat bars.

Oat milk

Oat milk makes these oat bars loaded with that mild creamy flavour. If you don’t have oat milk, feel free to use full cream regular milk

Protein powder

I recommend using the casein protein powder as it makes these oar protein bars juicy and firm. Using whey protein powder makes them dry and easily breakable.

If you don’t have protein powder, I suggest you use the same amount of oat flour. In this case, the amount of milk you require may vary. So, add the milk slowly until you get the desired consistency in your batter.

Chocolate chips

They add some dynamics in the flavour of these bars, however, they are optional. If you don’t want to add chocolate chips, you can add some raisins. They provide a great fruity texture.

Protein and calories you are getting

You will be spending about 180 from your daily calories and get 10g of protein in one serve of these protein bars.

Keep in mind that ff you are not adding the protein powder, the amount of protein you get will be a bit lower; around 7g. Still a good amount of protein for a snack.

Storage

Keep your protein bars in the fridge in a lid tight container. They are safe to eat for 5 days. I like to microwave them little bit before eating.

Pro tip: when you are at it, make one more variation so you can alternate them and eat. It’s more fun to eat that way. Checkout my other recipes that you can make together with this-
