Honey Chicken

Eating a good amount of protein in a form of lean chicken breast is sometimes difficult, but that’s not the case in terms of this honey chicken.

This tasty honey chicken is soft, tender, and juicy; you won’t feel like you are eating a chicken at all but something way better (although I don’t really know what that would be).

I generally don’t like sweet tasting meat, but this one turned out to be an exception. Maybe the key here to use the right amount of honey for the sweetness.

I also made it a little bit spicy by putting chilli flakes and that probably played a role as well.

You will also appreciate how quick and easy this recipe is. Perfect for a after workout high protein meal or a good lunch.

Variation: Honey Sesame Chicken

You can easily turn this recipe into honey sesame chicken by putting the 2x amount of sesame seeds I have used here. So, that will be 2tbsp instead of 1tbsp for 3 serves.

I just have used a small amount of sesame seeds in this recipe as I didn’t want the sesame to take over the flavor of honey. I wanted to have a mild flavor of sesame and the decorative feature it gives. It just makes the dish look appealing.

Serving

As the protein part is covered with this recipe, all you have to do is add some carbs and some greens (if you are brave enough) to make it a complete meal. It goes well with rice (I prefer brown rice) and pita bread.
