This crispy vegan friendly tofu salad is low in calories and high in protein. It’s a very healthy meal anyone can enjoy. This is a quick and easy recipe that tastes amazing. The roasted tofu feels like chewing on some gummies, very satisfying.

I came up with this idea after I made another vegan friendly recipe of spicy sesame tofu.

Make sure to use extra firm tofu to get the crispy flavor. The ordinary classic tofu tends to be softer and doesn’t become as tender.

Vegies for the salad

I have used the regular vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, and avocado for the salad. You can use whatever vegies are available to you.

Best sauce for the tofu salad

I really liked the Tahini sauce that I used in this recipe. This is also a vegan friendly sauce and goes really well on this meal. It also looks good colorwise. I made this sauce at home.

You could also try it with cashew sauce, almond or peanut sauce, or potato sauce. I hope I will make the recipe someday.

Tofu salad

Crispy Tofu Salad

Tasty and creamy salad that feels tasty and tender. It's fun to chew on these tofu that are packed with protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g tofu
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chill powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 100 g cherry tomato
  • 100 g cucumber
  • 50 g yellow pepper
  • ½ piece avocado
  • 2 tbsp tahini sauce

Instructions
 

  • Dry the tofu with paper towel.
    200 g tofu
  • Cut tofu into small cube size.
  • Collect all the dry species on a large plate.
    1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tsp paprika, ½ tsp chill powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Mix the ingredients.
  • Add the tofu and coat them with the prepared dry ingredients.
  • Put a large pan on medium heat and add the olive oil. Put all the coated tofu on the pan one by one.
    Roast them on all sides until they turn nice and golden in color.

  • To prepare the salad, take a large salad bowl and put in all the chopped vegies.
    1 cup lettuce, 100 g cherry tomato, 100 g cucumber, 50 g yellow pepper, ½ piece avocado
  • Add the roasted tofu and the sauce. Mix them all and it's ready to serve.
    2 tbsp tahini sauce, 200 g tofu
