Well, let me admit this; I don’t like cooked avocado. Actually, I think nobody does. For this reason, I just lightly toast my avocado sandwich.
I was a bit sceptical about taste of this cheese avocado pancake. You are cooking the avocado after all. After making and tasting this recipe, I have to say it tastes amazing.
Why you will love this recipe
This is probably the simplest healthy recipe you can find. It’s also exciting to taste something different occasionally. What makes this recipe easy is the use of three simple ingredients- avocado, cheese, and egg.
Everybody likes cheese. I found cooking avocado and cheese alters the taste of the cheese to a whole new dimension. It actually makes it taste like a new type of cheese that just hasn’t been made yet.
These cheese avocado pancakes are very soft and almost melt in your mouth. Just be a little gentle while flipping them though as they can easily break.
Feel free to sprinkle some black sesame seeds to make them even more attractive. They also add they nutty flavour in the pancakes. Although I didn’t do that in this recipe, I’m thinking to do that when I make these pancakes next time.
Protein, calories, and other variations
These healthy and protein rich pancakes are low in calories and carbs. You are getting a good 15g of protein with only around 420 calories.
Feel free to add more eggs if you are looking for a higher protein amount than this. Just be mindful if you want to add more cheese though as it can shoot up the calories very easily.
There are only around 14g of carbs in these pancakes. Which is perfect if you are trying to keep your calories down or just following a low carb diet. But if you want to have a bit more carbs, just add some plain flour in the batter and mix well.
