Soft Buttery Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

Easily make these soft and amazingly tasty drumsticks. They almost melt in your mouth.

I have made grilled chicken drumsticks many times before, in many different ways, but this is by far the softest and tastiest one (seriously). It makes it so easy to hit your protein goal. Bonus, kids love them as well. 

You can make grilled chicken drumsticks when you don’t feel like doing much of a cooking. Especially, this recipe as it has a very few ingredients.

To keep the calories and saturated fat content lower, I am grilling them without skin.

Grilled chicken drumsticks are excellent choice for a healthy meal whether you are trying to lose weight or gain muscle. 

Although you are adding some butter in this recipe, most of it will be dripped off during the grilling process, lowering its actual total calories. 

These grilled drumsticks have over 40g of protein per serve (3 drumsticks) and less than 400 calories (lower than what’s int the recipe card below as we are grilling them without skin most of the butter will be dripped off.

These grilled chicken drumsticks are best to serve with some baked potato. I usually have them with a buttery toast.

Soft Buttery Grilled Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Put butter in a small bowl. Add a little bit of boiling water and microwave for a few seconds to melt the butter. Do not overheat.

  • Put the ingredients to make the marinade. mix them well.
    1 tsp salt, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp pepper
  • Poke some holes on the drumsticks using a fork or a knife. Coat them and leave them to marinate for a few minutes.
    6 chicken drumsticks
  • Preheat the oven / grill to 200℃ / 390℉. Grill the drumsticks for 20 minutes. Turn them and grill for another 15 minutes. Then turn off the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Enjoy them warm.
